Holly Morgan is a North London-based actress.
She studied English at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge from 2004-2007 where she became heavily involved in the Amateur Dramatics Club, enjoying lead roles in productions such as Closer, Blithe Spirit, Hair and Sweeney Todd.
In the summer of 2006 she played the role of Shelley Parker, in the cult musical Bat Boy: the Musical at the Edinburgh Fringe. The show was a tremendous success with both critics and audiences, becoming the best-selling musical at the fringe for that year.
After graduating from Cambridge in 2007 with a 2:1, she took up a place on the one year Postgraduate Acting Course at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts.
Holly’s first professional engagement was with Heartbreak Productions, playing the role of Emma in an adaptation by Peter Mimmack of Jane Austen’s novel.
Over Christmas 2009, Holly appeared in The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus at ArtsDepot, North London. She reprised this role in 2010 at the Lowry Theatre in Manchester.
In Summer 2010, she played a Lady in Waiting in Shakespeare's Henry VIII and in Howard Brenton's new play Anne Boleyn at the world famous Shakespeare's Globe in London, followed by playing the lead role of Emma in an acclaimed site-specific run of Mike Bartlett's Contractions at Theatre Delicatessen.
2011 has seen Holly contributing voice work to Channel Four's Fresh Meat as well as featuring in Devon Girl, a radio play for Wireless Radio Theatre Company. She has recently completed filming on Lambent Production's True Stories: Mary Anning in which she played the title role. True Stories will be screened by BBC2 in early 2012.
Holly has just completed a 7 week tour of Canada and the United States reprising her role in The Life and Adventures of Santa Claus. The show toured with great success to venues such as The Tribeca Performing Arts Studio in New York and the Kravis Centre, West Palm Beach.
Holly is delighted to be rejoining the Anne Boleyn company for the 2012, UK touring co-production between English Touring Theatre and Shakespeare's Globe.
